The short version
- Each day has a morning half (three things you are grateful for, three things that would make the day good, one “I am” statement) and an evening half (three good things that happened, one thing you could have done better).
- $29.99 on Sep 30, 2026 for the Bold Black linen edition, sold by Intelligent Change USA and shipped by Amazon.
- Undated, so you can start any day and skip days; the maker says one book covers about six months of daily entries.
The first half of each page: three short prompts, a few minutes.
Not used at this time of day.
The second half: two prompts to close out the day before winding down.
Put away once the evening entry is written.
What the spec shows
We read the Amazon listing for ASIN B09G3KYR28 and the maker's page for the Original linen edition at intelligentchange.com on Sep 30, 2026. The two sources disagree on a couple of numbers; we show both rather than pick one.
| Spec | Value | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Undated | No printed dates, so a missed day leaves no blank page behind. |
| How long it lasts | About 6 months | Both the listing and the maker say six months of daily entries. |
| Page count | 264 (maker) / 180 (listing) | The maker's page says 264 pages; the Amazon detail table says 180. We could not resolve the difference. |
| Size | 5.28 × 8.58 in (maker) | 13.4 × 21.8 cm per the maker; the listing gives 8.3 × 5.8 in and calls it A5. Either way, roughly a paperback novel. |
| Cover | Linen fabric | The maker says it is bound in 100% linen with a cotton sewn binding. The listing text calls it a hardcover, although one attribute field says soft cover. |
| Paper | Recycled | The maker describes 100% recycled, compostable, FSC-certified paper. |
| Extras | Ribbon, quotes | One cotton ribbon bookmark, a quote on each page, weekly challenges, and an introductory section explaining the format. |
| Made in | China | Per the maker's spec list. |
How it holds up in use
The point of the design is that you never face a blank page. The listing describes the structure plainly: in the morning you write three things you are grateful for, three things that would make the day go well (“What would make today great?”), and a short statement beginning “I am”. In the evening you note three good things that happened and answer “How could I have made today even better?” The listing estimates about two minutes for each half. Each day's page also carries a printed quote, and every week or so there is a small written challenge.
Because the prompts are the same every day, the journal is quick once the format is familiar, and the answers can be as short as a few words. If you prefer open-ended writing, a lined notebook gives more room. The listing and maker page frame the book in terms of gratitude, mindset and personal growth; we do not repeat those promises. What we can say is what it is: a structured place to write a few lines twice a day.
Physically, a linen-covered book of this size fits in a bag or on a nightstand. It has one ribbon, so if you want to mark both today's page and the introduction, you will need a slip of paper.
The prompts are fixed. If you want free space for longer notes, lists or planning, this is the wrong format; a plain notebook or a planner suits that better. The Amazon listing also offers other cover colors as variations, so check which one is selected (and its price) before you order.
How to fit it into your day
A sequence for keeping the two short entries going; it describes using the book, not an outcome.
Give it a fixed place
Leave the journal and a pen where you will see them twice a day, such as next to the kettle or on the nightstand.
Write the morning half around 07:00
Answer the three morning prompts in single lines. Stop when the section is full; there is no need to write more.
Write the evening half around 20:30
After dinner, before screens go away for the night, fill in the two evening prompts on the same page.
Skip without fuss
If you miss a day, just start the next blank page. The undated format is built for that.
Look back occasionally
Once a month, flip through a few weeks of entries. It takes a couple of minutes and shows whether the habit is still working for you.
Price and where it is sold
On Sep 30, 2026 the Bold Black edition (ASIN B09G3KYR28) was $29.99 and in stock, sold by Intelligent Change USA (the brand's seller account on Amazon) and shipped by Amazon, with a free 30-day refund or replacement shown. Prices change; check the listing on the day you buy.
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who wants to plan tasks and appointments: a planner such as the Clever Fox undated weekly planner is built for that, not this book.
- Anyone who prefers open writing without prompts: a plain lined notebook costs less.
- Anyone going through a persistent low mood, worry or trouble sleeping should talk to a clinician; a journal is a writing habit, not a substitute for care.
